Something must always exist, because existence cannot come from non-existence. One spirals into infinite regressions unless you get outside of space and time--space cannot exist without time and time forces everything to have a parent-cause-source. Existence that is independent of space-time is a boundless potentiality that has no beginning or end and is undiminished by any universe that may arise from it. Consciousness arises first from existence. The universe begins as an imaginary ideal of the conscious mind which exists only in time. The emergence of multiplicity (countless conscious minds) from the cosmic consciousness creates space and makes the imaginary universe real. The universe is an energy being made of pure energy. Quantum particles emerge from the energy, atoms are formed by the quantum particles, molecules are formed by atoms, living cells are formed by molecules, and complex organic life is formed by living cells. This is the emergent course of cosmic evolution over time and across space. All conscious beings experience the universe around them and respond by characteristic actions that create change which impels cosmic evolution along a course dictated by the potentiality (the possibilities) intrinsic to each moment of time. This all sounds very confused and baseless in such brief report, but I of course have considerably more evidence and argument for what I here can only state.
