Quit Thinking So Much

An informal quiz on our Facebook Pantheism group page last year revealed that a significant majority of pantheists identified themselves as Rationals (NTs) in the Myers-Briggs test. This wasn’t surprising to me, given that iNtuition (comprehending the ‘Big Picture’) and Thinking (deeply) are recurring themes in our online conversations.

As helpful as the ‘Rational toolset’ is in analyzing the ‘facts’ of an event, it can also be our Achilles Heel: thinking can preclude being present without judgment. It’s a gift to reason well; but like politics on Facebook, it’s easy to get stuck in an echo chamber of our own making.
