Hi Guyus, it turns out the 403 you got was due to our firewall. I think I have fixed this; I temporarily set the firewall to ‘learn’ that shared Youtube videos are acceptable as inline links within posts. When you get a chance, I would appreciate it if you could post another article with a Youtube video in it and see if you avoid the 403 response.…[Read more]

Thanks, Guyus. I don’t know what’s different either…when I put the firewall in ‘learning mode’, I did manually add the link, so maybe that’s different somehow from copy-pasting a previous WP post with the links already inline. I changed the wording of the ‘Finish’ button to ‘Finish Creating Group’. We really need both, since a group creator has the right to skip adding an avatar in step 3. If they use the default avatar instead of uploading an image, the ‘Crop/Set’ button never appears. I have modified the text to be more clear about these two options (default vs.…[Read more]

Well, at least I can replicate one weird behavior: if you place a space before your word, but not after and enclose it in quotes, it treats it as a ditto mark.

I’ve noted that formatting, at least in publishing “Articles”, is not wholly preserved between viewing the article from a direct link to it and viewing it in the editor or on my personal time line. Thanks for the report, @jon_hoskins. This was a styling (CSS) issue…I call for the first (Featured) image to float left…but my code was actually catching and overriding all the image alignments thereafter. This is now fixed. Hi John, that was actually on purpose. Based on the Activity record (the ‘Feed’ on the first Social/Groups page), I see you first created the group ‘Audiophile’ (i.e., you successfully created the group without a “1” appended). Hi @jon_hoskins, can you please tell me what platform you were using to create the original post, above (beginning with “Created the sub group”)? Were you on a mobile device? I’m trying to pinpoint when the quote marks are posting with an “escape” (a \ slash) in front of it. It didn’t happen in your later post, and it’s not all Windows OSes.

also wanted to add more than one picture to show my bug….but i will add them as individual posts as I cant add more than one photo per post.

Those are escape marks, which the interpreter should be using internally to distinguish between quote marks in a string and quote marks as part of code–except obviously, it’s not working right. This is definitely a curious bug.

I have just tested this on an iPad, iPhone and Desktop. Can’t replicate it yet. It may have been corrected in an update.
